Second anniversary of the fire at the Berggericht building in Banská Štiavnica
Banská Štiavnica, March 18, 2025 – Today we commemorate the second anniversary of the devastating fire that struck the historic Berggericht building in 2023, which is one of the symbols of the mining past and cultural heritage of Banská Štiavnica. The fire caused enormous material damage and disrupted the functioning of not only this important building. Despite the challenges associated with the restoration, restoration work continues and we believe that the Berggericht will be able to restore its grandeur and glory.
