09.08.2021 Pro Arpe – Music in Gallery, 6.8.2021

In the Jozef Kollár Gallery, a concert of classical and contemporary classical music was held in the exhibition “Sands of the Microworld”, a site resembling an apocalyptic explosion.

An accompanying programme to the exhibition “Sands of the Microworld” in the Jozef Kollár Gallery – concert of the PRO / ARPE ensemble composed of Eugen Prochác (cello) and Adriana Antalová (harp). After concerts in the galleries in Ružomberok, Banská Bystrica and Zvolen, the works of well-known composers were also performed in the Grand Hall of the Jozef Kollár Gallery (GaJK): A. Vivaldi, M. Turnier, J. S. Bach, C. Salzedo, M. Ravel, M. de Falla, E. Granados et al.

The ambition of the “Music in Gallery” project is to present an attractive chamber ensemble of cello and harp – PRO / ARPE, which has been active for over two decades. The aim is to combine music attractive to the audience with the inspiring environments of four Central Slovakian galleries, as music, no doubt, belongs in art gallery environments. Each of the galleries has an indisputable "genius loci", inspiring the musicians in their performance. In the Jozef Kollár Gallery, a concert of classical and contemporary music was held in the middle of a very specific exhibition resembling an apocalyptic explosion.
